‘RuPaul’s Drag Race’ Wins Four Emmys
RuPaul ties record with fourth consecutive Outstanding Reality Host honor.
After becoming the first program to win Outstanding Competition Program and Outstanding Reality Host last year, VH1’s RuPaul’s Drag Race repeated the feat on Sunday. This is the fourth consecutive year that RuPaul has won Outstanding Reality Host, tying him with Survivor host Jeff Probst’s record. The show earned a combined four Emmys and Creative Arts Emmys this year:
· Outstanding Competition Program (Emmy)
· Outstanding Host For A Reality Or Competition Program (Creative Arts Emmy - RuPaul)
· Outstanding Costumes for Variety, Nonfiction or Reality Programming (Creative Arts Emmy - Trump: The Rusical)
· Outstanding Hairstyling For A Multi-Camera Series Or Special (Creative Arts Emmy - Trump: The Rusical)
Drag Race, which VH1 recently renewed for its 12th season, earned 14 Emmy nominations this year. Including this year’s haul, the show has earned a total of 13 Emmys.
